To my devoted rat fans, thank you for your patience. 

Personal hardship at home has dragged me down, increasingly over the past year. My wife Julia is in declining health and needs a lot of looking after. In addition to my long hours working as a doctor at my practice, for the rest of the time I’m her full-time personal carer, and of course the house also has to be run. That state of affairs has put the very important job of the writer/illustrator/producer of Doc Rat to the bottom of the queue, and it has just been not possible to work on it. So, without even a “sorry, folks”, I’ve left the main page of Doc Rat stay stuck silently on its last posting.

That’s something I’m of course quite unhappy about, but in a world where I can’t be all things to everybody, Julia’s quality of life is more important to me than anything, and I give it all I can.

However… from now on, with a bit of rearranging and belt-tightening, Julia and I have agreed on a schedule where I can get the story of The Law Of The Jungle moving again. Very soon, in a manner of weeks, if I can possibly manage it. 

I thank all of you who’ve stayed with me through this pause. Bless you all.
